April 15 Monday Motivation: 3 Mistakes You're Making

Hey Reader,

I pray you are doing well.

In April, we are checking in.

April is all about checking in on the goals you set for 2024. Do you remember them? Do you have them written down somewhere, perhaps in a journal or sticky notes? (If you need a journal, check out our collection HERE)

Anyhoo,

How many times have we uttered the words,

“Next year will be the year I…”

only to find ourselves stuck in the same patterns of procrastination and unfulfilled dreams? I can relate all too well.

But through God’s grace and a commitment to change, I am intentionally living my best life with purpose, intention, and fulfillment.

3 Common Mistakes People Make When Pursuing Goals:

  1. Approaching change with an all-or-nothing mentality, leading to inconsistency and self-sabotage. I would pray for something, and if it did not look exactly the way I thought it should, or it did not go the exact way I planned in my head, I was quick to dismiss it.
  2. Neglecting to confront and overcome subconscious blocks and limiting beliefs. I was the person who wasn't surprised when things did not go my way because I'd gotten used to disappointment. I did not realize that mindset was holding me back from seeing something different.
  3. Failing to create a clear, written plan of action toward goals. I am a person who has an abundance of ideas. I've learned to prioritize what God intends for me in my RIGHT NOW season. I've recognized that not every idea is for right now.

If you resonate with any of these challenges, I invite you to pause and reflect on your approach to goal-setting. Ask yourself these questions...
