April 15 Monday Motivation: 3 Mistakes You're Making

Hey Reader,

I pray you are doing well.

In April, we are checking in.

April is all about checking in on the goals you set for 2024. Do you remember them? Do you have them written down somewhere, perhaps in a journal or sticky notes? (If you need a journal, check out our collection HERE)

Anyhoo,

How many times have we uttered the words,

“Next year will be the year I…”

only to find ourselves stuck in the same patterns of procrastination and unfulfilled dreams? I can relate all too well.

But through God’s grace and a commitment to change, I am intentionally living my best life with purpose, intention, and fulfillment.

3 Common Mistakes People Make When Pursuing Goals:

  1. Approaching change with an all-or-nothing mentality, leading to inconsistency and self-sabotage. I would pray for something, and if it did not look exactly the way I thought it should, or it did not go the exact way I planned in my head, I was quick to dismiss it.
  2. Neglecting to confront and overcome subconscious blocks and limiting beliefs. I was the person who wasn't surprised when things did not go my way because I'd gotten used to disappointment. I did not realize that mindset was holding me back from seeing something different.
  3. Failing to create a clear, written plan of action toward goals. I am a person who has an abundance of ideas. I've learned to prioritize what God intends for me in my RIGHT NOW season. I've recognized that not every idea is for right now.

If you resonate with any of these challenges, I invite you to pause and reflect on your approach to goal-setting. Ask yourself these questions...

Hey Reader, Happy Friday! And, welcome to September! August was an amazing month for me and ended in the best way! I’ve seen surprise parties in movies, but I never thought I’d be the one walking into a room full of family and friends yelling “Surprise!” Yet that’s exactly what happened for my 40th birthday, and let me tell you, my heart is still overflowing. 💜 The truth is, I didn’t even know I needed it. The enemy tries to make us feel forgotten, unloved, or like we’re “too much.” But God...

Hey Reader, I usually don't send emails back-to-back like this, but something happened over the last couple of days. God orchestrated a reset and I had an encounter with Him, and this is what He revealed to me... Your breakthrough follows this divine rhythm: Reset. Reflect. Reveal. Reset means seeking Him first, sitting at His feet, and remembering who you are in Him. When you truly reset, worry loses its grip. Reflect means going back to what He has already spoken over you. Just like David,...

Hey Sis, Have you ever sat down to pray and found your mind racing with everything but God? Have you ever opened your Bible, longing for connection, but ended up feeling tired… distracted… even guilty? Yeah....me too. And it’s designed to help you reconnect with God in just 5 minutes a day. I can’t share all the...
